Steenberg Festival to kick off the school holidays

The City of Cape Town is proud to bring the Steenberg Festival back to the Allenby Drive Sports Ground in Retreat on Friday, 27 March and Saturday, 28 March, just in time for the school holidays.
Enjoy a full day of live entertainment and engaging activities with your family and friends.
The festival details are:
Friday, 27 March from 16:00 until 22:00
Saturday, 28 March from 14:00 to 22:00

‘Now in its third year, the Steenberg Festival has become an important event on our community calendar. It creates a space where families, young people, local artists and entrepreneurs can come together,’ said Ward Councillor Marita Petersen.
The festival will feature family-friendly activities, an energetic lineup of live entertainment, and a variety of shopping stalls. Visitors can look forward to food vendors serving up mouth-watering treats, as well as arts, crafts, fashion, and unique finds from local entrepreneurs.
‘This event had a fantastic turnout twice before. Community festivals like these put the spotlight on vendors and encourage local economic activity. I encourage residents to come out again and support our small businesses,’ said Alderman James Vos, the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth.
